Studio Network Solutions (SNS), an expert in media technology, recently announced updates to the EVO Suite of software tools as part of the EVO shared storage system. The announcement was made at the NAB Show 2024 in Las Vegas, presenting an evolved and complete workflow solution intended to enhance creative collaboration and boost the production efforts of broadcasting and post-production teams. The EVO Suite updates aim to increase productivity by streamlining workflows, offering improvements to various tools, new features, and additional ways to integrate with cloud storage providers.

Among the enhancements announced for the EVO Suite, users would notably enjoy increased creative control and efficiency, such as the ability to add timecode markers with comments in EVO's built-in MAM. The updated suite will now also allow for searchable sub-clips with in/out markers, with options available to import markers and sub-clips into software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

Furthermore, users can access proxy files faster, improving the backup media to locations including Box.com and OneDrive while enabling sync and replication to SFTP automatically. The company also promises enhanced transcoding capabilities, including the ability to transcode media to SpeedHQ and the user-friendly ability to control bandwidth for replication jobs.

These updates will offer significant benefits to content creation and impact access and remote editing functionalities. Improvements are expected in the loading of assets into TriCaster DDR1-4 and GFX1-2 from ShareBrowser MAM, while remote editing is set to be improved with updates to Nomad. The SNS NDI plug-in will be enabled for playout of h.264 and SpeedHQ.
